Adaptive illumination to complement your creative vision

We go beyond layered lighting to offer illumination which is naturally sensitive to daylight levels and activity within the space. Previously only possible through hardwired circuitry and active user control, modern lighting design permits automation and pinpoint control which adapts spaces to time of day, purpose and ambience. When implemented well, the end result is enhanced flexibility, user comfort at all illumination levels and reduced energy use.

Projects do not need to be large to be well considered. Good lighting scales both up and down, meaning even smaller spaces can be dramatically enhanced by a thoughtful lighting installation.

For Interior Designers

Lighting design presents a unique challenge to the interior designer, who is often bound by constraints around wall access, cabling, client preference and budget. We can help overcome these constraints by adopting contemporary light systems which offer you new-build levels of functionality even when reimagining an existing space.

Blending technology flawlessly into every space

Good interior design considers many factors, including the function of a room, its colours, textures and fabrics, the items a client wishes to showcase and the design challenges you may wish to de-emphasise. You and your client may already have clear ideas how you would like to illuminate a project, but be unsure as to the luminaires and controls to be used.

In either case, we work with you to incorporate lighting which will showcase your design choices while delighting your client with its usability and attractiveness. We provide a full specification for your team to implement, or offer an installation service if the build team are less experienced with more modern systems. This can include remote access and integration of wider home automation technologies including blinds/curtain controls, visual/audio monitoring, environmental control and access control where required.

The end result will be carefully integrated so as to highlight the design choices at the heart of your scheme, while offering advanced usability to clients without limitations posed by age or condition of the project site.

Technical Design

With a conceptual design agreed, our work moves to detailed layout and specification. We select architecturally complementary fittings and high quality LED luminaires, ensuring cohesion with the building design and low maintenance. We draw from a wide range of suppliers so are well placed to meet your requirements, be they a highlight pendant, adaptable LED surface illumination or precise task lighting.

We will compile a full information pack for contractors to price and fit the design. Where lighting is to be integrated into structural elements we encourage close collaboration with the core design team to guarantee high quality detailing, access for cabling and ease of construction.

Do you work directly with homeowners?

Yes, we do. Whether you have a clear idea of how you would like to reimagine the lighting for an existing space, or would like professional help to benefit from the flexibility and economy offered by modern lighting and control to improve the ambience of your home, we would be happy to help you realise your vision.

We only have very vague plans, but really want to know if our ideas are even remotely feasible. Can you help with this?

Absolutely, we find projects benefit the most from professional input at an early stage. this often generates ideas that would be difficult or impossible to implement later.

We have a specific system / existing fittings that we want to retain. Can you accommodate that in your scheme?

Our aim is always to make sure you get the best experience throughout the scope of your project. We understand that it could mean working with an interface familiar to you and your family, or retaining certain well-loved features.

Which areas do you work in?

We are headquartered in London but are always willing to travel to you, within the UK, to discuss ideas in person and demonstrate what can be achieved using the latest lighting controls.
